Our History

A few years ago, it was just our CEO Victor Beitner and his dog, Blue. Victor is the past Chair of the Georgian College Protection, Security & Investigations Advisory Committee and holds a CISSP as well as other certifications and degrees, that allows him the ability to adapt quickly and confidently to any security situation. 


He is also regularly called upon for multi-media interviews by local and international media concerning cyber security issues. His in-depth knowledge and expertise in cyber security has featured him in print, radio and TV news organizations such as CTV News, Global News, The Toronto Star and The Toronto Sun. He enjoys giving back to the community with his volunteering work.

Founder

About Victor

Victor Beitner is a highly respected cybersecurity expert with over 40 years of experience in the technology industry, devoting the last 25 years to network security and cyber issues. Since his first remediation in 1995 for an email compromise, Victor has been committed to enhancing cybersecurity practices across various industries.

A distinguished authority in the field, Victor serves as a member of The Society for Standards Professionals and has held leadership positions with the Georgian College Protection, Security & Investigations Advisory Committee and the High Tech Crime Investigation Association. His comprehensive qualifications include a CISSP and multiple other certifications and degrees, allowing him to address diverse security situations with confidence and adaptability.

Victor played a pivotal role in drafting, serving on the technical committee, and final balloting for the CyberSecure Canada Standard. This federal program aims to elevate cybersecurity standards among SMEs, encourage international standardization, boost consumer trust in the digital economy, enhance resiliency, and empower SMEs to compete on a global scale.

Frequently sought after for his deep understanding of cybersecurity issues, Victor has been featured in various local and international media outlets, including CTV News, Global News, The Toronto Star, and The Toronto Sun. He shares his insights on cybersecurity through print, radio, and TV interviews, contributing significantly to public awareness on the subject.

As a Ham radio operator (VA3OZZ), Victor demonstrates his dedication to community service by volunteering in emergency management.

About Renee

Renee graduated from Eastern College with a diploma with distinction in the Business and Digital Marketing Specialist program. After completing a three-month internship with Cyber Security Canada, she was offered a permanent full-time position in Sales & Marketing back in December 2021. With a passion for marketing and a new passion for sales and cybersecurity, her many skills have been put to great use. After taking on many tasks and projects in the organization, she has since been promoted to General Manager. Meeting new clients and helping organizations start their CyberSecure Canada journey is what she loves most about her position. Being a forever learner, she is always up to learn new things. 

JP (Pierre) Moatti

About Pierre

JP’s strong background in the Canadian I.T. community has spanned over thirty-five years.  He has managed projects and people, ranging from large systems integration while working at Hewlett Packard, to global-based solutions as CIO at Sitel Canada, Minacs and 24/7 in India. As a senior I.T. exec in various organizations, his focus has always been about bringing projects to successful conclusions, while adhering to the three tenets of project management (time, money and people). He has completed the fourteen Canadian government certified courses in cyber security, to work as an auditor under ISO 17021.

Meet Sam, a seasoned professional with a strong background in cybersecurity, who has recently taken the reins as our Lead Cybersecurity Engineer. Sam's journey with Cyber Security Canada began as an ISO Lead Auditor and CyberSecure Canada practitioner, where his expertise was quickly recognized as an invaluable asset.

As a previous consultant with our team, Sam spent a year working with clients diligently examining and working with them to improve their security measures. His hard work and dedication were not just evident to us but became a hallmark of his presence on the team.

We're thrilled that Sam's journey has evolved within our company. Recognizing his potential, we recently offered him a full-time position. 

Sam's presence enhances our commitment to providing top-notch security solutions. His ability to think critically, coupled with a hands-on approach to problem-solving, makes him an indispensable member of our team.

Rada Beitner

Chief Financial Officer

About Rada

Rada Beitner is a highly accomplished finance and technology professional, currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Cyber Security Canada. Rada boasts an impressive academic background, having studied at prestigious institutions in both Russia and Canada.

 

Rada began her educational journey in Russia, earning a Technical Mathematician-Programmer diploma with the highest distinction from the Moscow College of Automation and Telemechanic. She continued her studies at the Moscow State University of Railway Engineering, where she trained as a programmer. Rada's passion for finance and economics led her to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Economics, specializing in Accounting, Analysis and Audit, and Accounting Economist, from the Moscow Institute of Entrepreneurship and Law, which she completed in 2004.

 

Rada's pursuit of academic excellence took her to Canada, where she earned an Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management – Accounting from Centennial College in December 2020. Rada's ambition and drive for professional development didn't stop there; she began her Master of Business Administration at the University of Fredericton in October 2022.

 

Rada's unique combination of skills in finance, economics, and technology, honed through her diverse educational background, has made her an invaluable asset to Cyber Security Canada. In her role as Chief Financial Officer, Rada is responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring robust financial planning and analysis, and guiding strategic decision-making. Rada's experience and expertise make her a key player in the company's continued growth and success in the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape.

Ramya is highly organized professional with over 6 years’ experience as a Senior IT Auditor & Consultant in security governance, operation, risk management and audit areas

 

Ramya has a solid educational foundation. She holds her higher education from University of Madras. She has completed her certification in ISO 9001 & 27001 Auditor , CSQA, Project Management Professional Certification, Scrum and Six Sigma and Business Process Automation. She engaged herself in benchmark with industry standards which drive her to pursue CISA certification.

 

With her extensive background, she worked with international cross-functional teams to ensure compliance measures align with clients and business objectives. Ramya expertise includes compliance, internal and operational audits.

 

Ramya is very passionate toward auditing and happy to part of Cyber Security Canada team in supporting our client’s business to achieve their goals.

Mohamed Atcha

About Mohamed

Mohamed has project management, leadership, manufacturing process expertise with a strong technical background and natural business acumen with 23 years of Quality Assurance/Regulatory Compliance experience in the Retail, Automotive, Medical/Healthcare, Electronics, Aerospace and Environmental Industries. 


Mohamed graduated from the Quality Assurance Management program from Sheridan College and is a certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor.  He has over 23 years experience in maintaining and auditing TS16949, ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, CSA N299, AAR M-1003 Quality standards and systems.  He is looking to complete his ISO 27001 Auditor certification in the near future.

 

He is very excited to be joining the Cyber Security Canada team and is looking forward to supporting our client’s business needs and striving for excellence together.

Oluwafemi Ojo is a dynamic professional with a diverse background and a passion for innovation in the field of cybersecurity. With initial studies in Banking and Finance, as well as Business Management, Oluwafemi embarked on a promising career journey that began in sales. His dedication and strategic acumen quickly propelled him up the corporate ladder, culminating in the role of Sales Manager.

However, Oluwafemi's insatiable curiosity and the opportunity to explore new horizons led him to pivot his career towards property management, a decision influenced by extensive travels abroad. Driven by a desire for continuous growth and a profound interest in technology, he made the bold choice to return to academia.

Determined to expand his skill set, Oluwafemi pursued education in Systems Management and Cybersecurity, a move that perfectly aligned with his innate problem-solving abilities and affinity for cutting-edge solutions. Currently, he is further honing his expertise through an enriching internship with Cyber Security Canada, where he is actively engaged in safeguarding digital landscapes from emerging threats.
