Alan Zunder

Alan spent over 30 years with the Ontario Provincial Police, retiring as a staff sergeant.
As the first terrorism analyst in the OPP, Alan worked with CSIS, the RCMP and worldwide contacts.

Serving as an adjunct faculty member for the International Association of Chiefs of Police, Alan ran terrorism-related courses in the US and Canada.
In addition to his law enforcement background, Alan has experience in a government environment, serving in a deputy minister’s office for 5 years, issues management, government project management, emergency planning (Emergency Management Ontario), staff development & training, intelligence, offender transport and many other areas.
At the end of his career, Alan was employed as a ‘fixer’ who was put into problem detachments as commander. Alan’s last contribution to the OPP was to jump-start the conversion to black and white patrol cars to improve police visibility and reduce highway carnage.
